The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently viewing the Fernie 2 Community Hall in Mpuluzi to render expert services to the community.

SASSA will probably be rendering services which include new social grant applications, change of payment method, consumer care enquiries, along with the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In a statement, the agency claimed it really is alarmed about the high amount of people relying on social grants for survival.
“The purpose in the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to a substantial number of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“This is certainly because of the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there is no completely functional office focused on service the area on a regular basis. The service read more stage established for intervention experiences a high inflow of potential beneficiaries, which makes it difficult for the office to attend to all people who go to a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise much more resources to empower the servicing of all consumers and increase use of Social Assistance expert services,” the agency said.
